My recommendation is to use Webex when working with students. Google Meet has a flaw where the students can reuse the link to re-join the Meet room when the teacher is not present. Webex allows you to remove all students when exiting the session and students are not allowed in the room without the teacher present.

This video will walk you through the variety of features available in Webex.
Video Conferencing is a great tool for a face-to-face interaction, and synchronous learning. However, this should be a tool that is used sparingly. This tool may require; parent assistance setting up, requires students to be available at a specific time, more trouble shooting with webcams and microphones which must be resolved during the live video conference.
Screen Recordings is a great tool that allows teachers to record their screens to present information, walk students through websites, or even walk through the choice boards. Teachers can also use these tools to record a video of themselves (through the webcam only view) to record a message for the students. These screen recording tools create videos that students can view at any time, avoiding many issues that can occur during a live video conference session.
The best way to get your videos to parents is by saving your video in your Google Drive and creating a link. This video will walk you through the process of creating a "Public" link which will allow parents (who do not have Google accounts) to access the videos. These video links can be stored on your website, or emailed directly to parents.
The Choice Boards each school created are our “curriculum” for our Remote Learning days. We are not asking you to implement any new technology. Use the technology you have used in the past such as your classroom website, email, Infinite Campus messaging, SeeSaw and Dojo. You may add optional technology, but it is not required.
Classroom Teachers - The expectations are for teachers to connect daily, through your already established communication tool, to support families with questions they have.
Area Teachers - Daily communication with all your students is NOT required. Options include checking in on students individually as the need arises, sending an entire grade level IC message every few days or working with the classroom teacher to add in communication to their on-going correspondence with families and students.
