Mr. Greg is a Kindergarten teacher and he prefers not to share his screen, so he does his teaching from his SMARTboard and easel. The only caution we see with this approach is to make sure you bring your computer as close as possible so your students can see your work. You will NOT need a tripod for your phone to record your lessons, because you can record your Google Meets session using your computer.

This 3rd grade teacher walks you through her virtual teaching setup and the tools she uses. She recommends starting the meeting 10 minutes early with a count down timer and music. She also types a message in the chat box about expectations for the meeting prior to the meeting starting. You could even let them know what materials they will need for the lesson, so they are ready once it is time to start!
