Stefania Belvedere was born in Rome, Italy in 1991.
She received her Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and her Master's degree in Space and Astronautical Engineering, both from La Sapienza, University of Rome.
For her undergraduate thesis she worked on the analysis of the InSAR sensor of NASA's VERITAS space mission for the observation of planet Venus.
For her graduate thesis she was selected for a Summer Student Research Assistantship at the NRAO in New Mexico (USA), to study a possible application of machine learning methods for RFI identification in radio astronomy data reduction.
In 2023, she started her Ph.D. in ICT at La Sapienza, University of Rome.
Research Activity
Her main research interests focus on the study of Distributed-SAR, both in SIMO and MIMO configuration, and understanding how these systems can improve performance in topography, deformation retrieval, moving target detection and 3D imaging.
