Andrea Quirini was born in Rome (RM), Italy, in 1996.
He received the M.Sc degrees (Cum laude) in telecommunications engineering from the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in October 2020, and he received a double degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, in May 2020. He completed his Ph.D. in remote sensing at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy in January 2024.
Currently, he holds the position of a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Information Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunications at Sapienza University of Rome.
Research Activity
His main research interests include OFDM radar, clutter suppression in multichannel passive radar on moving platforms, and Non-Uniform Linear Array (NULA) signal processing.
Non-Uniform Linear Array (NULA) design strategies for DoA estimation.
Displace Phase Centre Antennas (DPCA) and Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) tecniques for target detection against clutter and noise.
Mobile Passive Coherent Location (PCL) systems exploiting DVB-T transmissions as sources of opportunity.
Clutter suppression in Passive Radar (PR) systems mouted on moving platforms.
