Words and phrases to listen out for:

1. The use of the second conditional throughout the song (would/infinitive + past simple) - sapresti il mio nome se io ti incontrassi in paradiso? = would you know my name if I saw you in heaven?;

2. mi aiuteresti a stare in piedi = would you help me stand? (il verbo 'to help' può essere seguito dall'infinito sia con 'to' che senza, ma non cambia il significato);

3. Il tempo può piegarti le ginocchia = time can bend your knees ('piegare' si dice 'to bend' or 'to fold' - quest'ultimo si usa soprattutto per la carta ed i vestiti);

4. oltre la porta = beyond the door (si pronuncia 'biiond' e non va confuso con 'behind'); 

5. 'heart' si pronuncia 'hart' e non 'hert', mentre 'heaven' si pronuncia 'hèvn' e non 'hiven'.

N.B.  da notare anche la pronuncia di 'would you' = 'wugiu' (così come 'do you' nel parlato spesso diventa 'giu', 'did you' diventa 'digiu', ecc.
