A Modern Introduction to Number Theory
Overview
This is the website for a summer school in number theory to be held in Pisa, Italy, from 1 to 6 of September 2024.
The summer school is aimed at advanced Master students and beginning PhD students. It will provide participants with a basic knowledge of some fundamental tools of modern number theory: class field theory, elliptic curves and arithmetic statistics. In addition to the lectures, interactive exercise sessions will offer participants the opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into practice, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter.

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS
We have approximately 50 places available for the summer school. We hope to be able to fund accommodation for 35 participants. Registration is now open!
Deadline for registration: 20 May 2024
The exact schedule will be announced in due course, but you should expect the lectures to start in the morning of 2 September and finish around lunchtime on 6 September.
