Science Research Projects
The students enrolled in the Introduction to Science Research Methodology course study various issues affecting the Earth through the lens of the United Nations Global Goals programme. In each thematic unit, they immerse themselves in the process of independent research while they teach each other about these issues. Some of the thematic units we study are global population trends, issues related to pollution, global warming and microbiology. As the students progress through the curriculum, they are also performing laboratory investigations related to the curriculum. As the year progresses, the students will narrow down an area of interest that they will follow with an independent project.
The students enrolled in the Advanced Science Research course are in the process of studying a specific topic in depth independently. The ultimate goal of this course is to have students follow the project to its conclusion and present results in various science competitions.
