Traffic Flow and Crowd Dynamics

The Ph.D. student obtaining this PNRR fellowship will:

• enter cutting-edge research on mathematical analysis and its applications;

• contribute to the formulation of new applied hyperbolic models for vehicular traffic and/or crowd dynamics;

• have a chance to develop/implement ad hoc numerical methods;

• spend research periods in a choice of top level universities and institutes abroad;

• be part of a well-established international research network.

To this aim, the student will acquire advanced analytical techniques specific to hyperbolic PDEs.

Tentative calendar: 

• openining: end of May;

• deadline: June 26, 2023;

• start: October/November.
