The University of Marília (UNIMAR), through its Integrated Center for Research and Extension (NIPEX) and the Department of International Relations (DRI), is honored to present the 5th SEMIC – Scientific Initiation Seminar, to be held on June 18, 2025, in a 100% online format, bringing together students, faculty members, and researchers from higher education institutions in Brazil and abroad.

The event’s mission is to promote the exchange of knowledge, encourage scientific production at the undergraduate level, and recognize the student as a key agent in the research process. Selected papers will be presented orally in virtual rooms and evaluated by a specialized scientific committee, with the possibility of publication in the UNIMAR Abstract Book (ISSN 2176-8544).

Participation is open to Brazilian and international students from partner institutions. Registration runs from April 9 to May 31, 2025, through the official platform. A symbolic registration fee supports the publication and certificate issuance, while listeners are exempt from any fees. The 5th SEMIC is a space for scientific and multicultural dialogue, reflecting UNIMAR’s commitment to academic excellence, research ethics, and the internationalization of knowledge.
