Synopsis
This course introduces students to the basic engineering concepts/fields and how they can be applied in manufacturing systems across industries. It also covers issues from engineering disciplines. These key engineering issues shall be translated into entrepreneurial opportunities. For example, how bioprocess engineering can be used in agriculture, food, perfume, and pharmaceuticals. Or cause and effect of climate change on the environment. Or the usage of electrical and electronics engineering in power generation and broadcast transmission systems.
