About YSS

Young Scientists Summit (YSS) is an initiative of Nepal Polymer Institute (NPI) hosted annually with the aim of empowering and connecting the young scientists towards new discourse, discoveries, and innovations. The first YSS was organized in 2016 in Kathmandu with the motto "Our Young Scientists: Our Strength: Our Hope". The YSS has served as a platform to promote involvement of high school and university level students as well as other young researchers in science, technology and innovation activities through research ideas and projects. YSS motto is “Youth's participation for prosperity of the nation through science, technology, and innovation”. It aims at identifying and recognizing the Nepalese genius minds and promoting their aspirations in the prosperity of the country.

Target Group

Young Scientists (students from grade 8 to 12) will be eligible to attend the YSS- 2024. The participants will present their project via poster and demonstrate their project set up (if necessary). The selected candidate/s should deliver an oral presentation  (5 minutes) about their research work/ project. Prior to the conference, the sort- listed candidates will be requested to send 1 minute video of their project.
