Man of Science, Man of Peace
The Italian Society for Applied and Industrial Mathematics (SIMAI) and the “Ulisse Dini” Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Florence (DIMAI) have organized this day to commemorate Mario Primicerio, who spent his academic career in the Department of Mathematics and served as SIMAI President for eight years.
The day will feature talks reflecting the different facets of Primicerio: as a man of science, great innovator, man of peace, and mayor. The event is intended to honor Mario Primicerio not only for his scientific achievements and technology transfer efforts, but also for his political and social commitment—always interpreted as a dedicated service to the community.
