Dr. Giovanni Geraci, is a Principal Research Scientist with Telefónica Research. He was previously with Nokia Bell Labs. He serves as a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE, and he received the IEEE ComSoc EMEA Outstanding Young Researcher Award. He co-authored two IEEE ComSoc Best Readings and received Best Paper Awards at IEEE PIMRC 2019 and IEEE Globecom 2022. He received the Ph.D. degree from UNSW Sydney, Australia, in 2014. His background also features research appointments with SUTD, Singapore, from 2014 to 2015, University of Texas at Austin, USA, in 2013, CentraleSupélec, France, in 2012, and Alcatel-Lucent, Italy, in 2009. He has co-authored over 100 IEEE publications with over 3700 citations, and has co-invented a dozen filed patent families.
