Dr. Cristian Della Giovampaola, received the B.S. degree, M.S. degree (cum laude), and the Ph.D. degree in Electromagnetics from the University of Siena, Italy, in 2004, 2006, and 2010, respectively. He was a Visiting Scholar at Pennsylvania State University, USA, from October 2008 to September 2009. From October 2011 to December 2014, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. He is currently working at WaveUp s.r.l. as a Senior Engineer. His research interests include reconfigurable metasurface antennas, metamaterials for both microwave and optical regimes, high-frequency techniques for electromagnetic scattering and diffraction, numerical methods for electrically large electromagnetic problems, near-field to far-field antenna measurements.
