The research team consists of two research units, one based at the Department of Physics of the University of Calabria (UNICAL) and the second one at the Institute for Plasma Science and Technology at “Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche” (CNR). The two unit leaders have complementary expertise on observational (S. Perri, UNICAL) and numerical (F. Pucci, CNR) aspects of space physics research.
The team's expertise is enriched by four other young and senior researchers. The team has an already existing collaboration on the topic of this proposal. Such collaboration has led to several scientific publications during the last few years (see for instance, Pucci et al. 2016, Perri et al. 2019, Perri et al. 2021).
The UNICAL research unit leads the observational tasks. This research unit has great experience in energetic particle transport in magnetic turbulence, shock acceleration mechanisms, magnetic turbulence, in-situ data analysis.
The CNR research unit leads the numerical tasks.
This research unit has great experience in numerical modeling of space plasmas, comparison with observations, and turbulence theory.
Our team brings together diverse expertise, skills, and a shared commitment to the success of this initiative. Each member plays a crucial role in ensuring the project achieves its goals.
