We are delighted to welcome you to the conference From Formal Languages to Information Security, held in honor of Prof. Adrian Atanasiu on the occasion of his 80th birthday. This anniversary conference brings together colleagues, former students, and international collaborators to celebrate his 80th birthday and exchange new ideas, mostly in the fields he worked in during the years.

Call for Papers
We invite original research papers, significant extensions of previous works, extended abstracts, surveys, tutorials, position papers, or related personal essays. Submissions must be original, unpublished and not currently under review for publications in other venues.

Formal Languages and Automata Theory (grammars, parsing, algebraic language theory)
Natural and Bio-Inspired Computing (DNA/molecular computing, membrane computing, cellular automata)
Cryptography and Information Security (cryptographic protocols, algebraic methods in security, coding theory)
Combinatorics on Words (pattern matching, word complexity)
Theoretical Foundations of Computer Science (algorithmics, complexity theory)
Tributes, Reflections, and Personal Essays

Publishing

Submission Guidelines
Submissions should be up to 8 pages (including references). A few additional pages might be allowed, by case, in case of need. Submissions must be in English and should follow the following template (in LaTeX, easy to use e.g., in Overleaf). Submission must be done via EasyChair.
Registration & Presentation
There is no registration fee. Accepted papers must be presented at the conference. The event is on-person. Exceptionally, online presentations are possible (hybrid format).
