We have chosen this shade of blue to represent justice as tones of blue are associated with open spaces, expansiveness and freedom. Justice also relies on wisdom, trust and sincerity - concepts which are also represented by blue.

Peace and justice are deeply connected. Without justice there is no peace. Settings of violence can appear peaceful if everyone is too afraid to fight for justice, but this is not peace. It is a kind of negative peace, or pacification. Settings where people are fighting for justice are filled with positive peace. Positive peace comes about when people stand together to challenge inequality and injustice.
