we have chosen this shade of teal to represent calmness and stillness but also renewal. It can mean open communication and clarity of thought, both of which are important to inner peace. Different cultures view it as symbolically infinite (Tibetan monks) or representing truth and faith (Egypt).
Inner peace is often contrasted with outer peace, or interpersonal peace. It is about the peace we find within. Without it we will never be effective in bringing about peace outside of ourselves.
Inner peace is a deliberate state of mind, which allows for calm whatever is going on, despite external pressures and stresses of everyday life. It can be developed and nurtured through intent, such as mindfulness and meditation exercises - which help to quieten or turn down the volume of the mind, to cultivate serenity and peacefulness. The image has wabi-sabi, the Japanese concept of deliberate imbalance, which reflects that the pursuit of inner peace is not based on perfection.
