There is a Missile
There is a missile, so I've heard,
Which locks on to the smallest bird,
Finely tuned to seek and kill
A tiny chirp or gentle trill.
It's modern warfare's answer to
An ancient wisdom tried and true:
When fighting wars, you first destroy
All songs of innocence and joy.

The Karate Kid - Everything is Kung Fu Scene
The theme today is Peace in Communities
The poem and the movie clip are connected. The poet is showing that everything is impacted by the negative impact of war. The brilliant use of modern technologies can kill with incredible precision. But it's not just the things you can see that gets destroyed. The innocence, freedom, power and creativity of childhood can also be a victim of conflict. In the movie clip from the Karate Kid the teacher says that 'everything is Kung Fu'. By that he means every action has the potential to create something positive or negative.
