Kristy Dodson

Kristy Dodson’s work has been seen and developed at many noted artistic institutions: Lincoln Center Theater, Dansearena Nord, The Public Theater, The McCarter Theater, Clubbed Thumb, The Lark Play Development Center, among others. They were awarded the Zwick Award in Directing and was the first Artward Bound awardee to receive a group residency. They were the Assistant Director for the World Premier of Have You Seen Us by the legendary Athol Fugard starring Sam Waterston. They were invited to Lincoln Center as one of six emerging directors from around the world to develop a new play; The Hollower by Liza Birkenmeier. As the founding Artistic Director of Overturn Theatre they produced and created a myriad of live performances for over 10 years, including: 7 new theatrical works with NY premiers, 2 reimagined classics, over a dozen project developments, concerts, installations, galleries, and have commissioned hundreds of artists from countless mediums to create new works in area of live performance. Their education work has spanned from universities to community centers to district 75 schools, from private coaching for professional actors, to professional development training for fellow educators, to intergenerational collaborations with elders, to work with immigrant communities, to incarcerated youth and adults, to the Little People of America National Conventions. Amabel Prisk

Amabel Prisk (Assistant Director) is an interdisciplinary artist graduating from UNC Greensboro this Spring with a BA in Theatre, BA in Psychology, and minor in Interdisciplinary Art and Social Practice. With roots in theatre, Amabel’s interests include directing, playwriting, devised performance, and socially engaged art. Amabel currently serves as an Artist in Residence with UNCG's Lloyd International Honors College, where she is developing her first full length play, Retelling the Life of Grace Sherwood. Other recent projects include: ensemble-based performance Go! 30 Neo-Futurist Plays in 60 Minutes, Associate Directing for UNCG 2022 Centennial Fringe Festival’s production of Icarus x Apollo, and collaborating on social practice experience, Hidden and Forbidden: An Alternative Campus Tour. Outside of theatre, Amabel can be found hiking, teaching yoga, and reading her ever-growing collection of books. Thank you and congratulations to the cast and crew of ROE!

Zoe Rossouw

Zoe Rossouw (Music Director/Actress Seven) is so excited to be a part of ROE! Zoe is a BFA Acting major with a minor in History, and is involved with the Lloyd Disciplinary Honors College. Previously, Zoe has been on the UNCG stage as Cobweb in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Winter Sprite in Wake Up, Brother Bear! Zoe would like to thank the cast and crew for being so wonderful on this journey, and she would like to thank her friends and family for their endless love and support. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Ray Ward

Ray Ward (they/them) is a senior BFA Des/Tech Major and the lighting designer for Roe. Despite having spent the last 4 years being a Wardrobe Supervisor, they decided to take the leap and be the LD for this show, and they couldn’t be more glad they did. This is their first Lighting Design at UNCG and they were very excited to be able to design for such an incredible show that has a lot of themes they hold close to their heart. They would like to thank their family and their friends for spending the last 8 years supporting them and their crazy lifestyle. They wish to specifically shout out their lovely girlfriend, Kaysa, and partner in crime, Jalynn.

Keenan Harmon

Keenan Harmon (Sound Designer) is a Design and Technical Production student focusing on Sound Design at the University of Greensboro North Carolina. Keenan has experience in live sound mixing as well as creating sounds for plays.

Margaux Wellman

Margaux Wellman (she/her) (Sarah Weddington) is an MFA Acting candidate originally from Saginaw, Michigan. She received her BFA in Acting and her BA in Interpersonal Communication from Western Michigan University. Favorite roles there include Puck (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Julia (Fefu and Her Friends), and Elizabeth (The Art of Self-Defense). All the thanks to her family for their love and support. For feisty disabled people. For the tenacious women in her life: Deb, Patti, Grace, Lauren, and Mom.

Mallory Freeze

Mallory Freeze (Norma) is a senior BFA Acting Major with a Minor in Musical Theatre. Most recently, she was Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Her other credits include Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea, The Boot (film), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Round Pegs Square Pegs, and The Tempest. Mallory is incredibly excited for audiences to see the show, and is grateful for her time here at UNCG. She’d like to thank her family and friends for their love and support.

Faviana Petru

Faviana Petru (Connie) has been passionate about theater for many years so she's excited about the opportunity to portray both Connie Gonzalez and Ofelia in ROE! Faviana is a BA Drama major with a minor in Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies. This is Faviana’s first UNCG production! She would like to thank her friends and especially her family for being her biggest supporters throughout her life. She’s had a great experience working on this production with an amazing cast and crew and hopes that it has an impact on the audience!

Emily Gustafson

Emily Gustafson (Actress #4) is an MFA Acting Candidate originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. A graduate of Macalester College, she performed in her hometown with Wayward Theatre, Shakespeare & Company, The BAND Group, Six Elements Theatre, and more. Most recently, she has appeared in Class, the MFA Acting Cohort’s devised piece, in Theatre Coupd'Etat's adaptation of Julius Caesar as Octavius Caesar, and as a member of Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's Virtual Apprenticeship Program in 2021. She’s excited to make her Sprinkle debut with this important, timely show.

Jessie Urbania

Jessie Urbania (Actress #5) is a freshman BFA actor. She is beyond grateful for this opportunity and is thrilled to be working with such an amazing cast and crew. She would like to thank all her friends and family for supporting her through this process and always believing in her!

Cinnamon Stoner

Cinnamon C. Stoner (Actress Number 6) is super excited to be making her UNCG theater debut in "Roe". Cinnamon is a freshman drama major with a concentration in acting. Previous to UNCG she majored in theater at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts. Some of her previous roles include Sherry Whiteside in "The (Wo)Man Who Came to Dinner" and Camae in "The Mountaintop''. When she isn't on stage, Cinnamon loves to read, bake, and rot her brain away on TikTok. She is super grateful to be working with this creative team, and hopes everyone enjoys "Roe"!

Colin Smith

ROE (Actor 1) is Colin’s second production here at UNCG. His first production was Sweat directed by UNCG’s Mya Brown in April 22’. Colin has loved his time at UNCG. He started his time at CVPA in the BA Drama program, then transferred into the BFA Acting class starting this past fall. He has loved his time at the school thus far and can’t wait to tackle what else this program throws his way. He would like to give a special thanks to all the professors who have helped cultivate his craft thus far and all his family for helping love and push him forward.

Calvin Rubes

Calvin Rubes (Actor 2) is a senior BFA Acting Major. This is his 7th (and final) show at UNCG, and he is very excited to share it with this wonderful cast and crew. He would like to thank his parents for their unwavering love and support, and his friends for always believing in him.

David Snee

David Snee (Actor 3) is a senior BFA Acting major and he is so excited to be a part of this show! He is graduating in May and plans to move up to New York to pursue stage and camera acting. He would like to thank his family, friends, and his BFA cohort for an amazing four years.

Hartley Somerville

Hartley Somerville was born October 5th 2013 in Chapel Hill NC. She is currently in 2nd grade, lives in Bahama NC with her Mom, Stepdad and Sister Wynn. She loves to dance, play outside on her 4 wheeler and love animals and adventures. She spends weekends with her Dad and Stepmom also in NC but in Hurdle Mills NC. Hartley is active in dance, tap, Girl Scouts and loves playing with her friends. She has very much so enjoyed the experience here at UNCG and hopeful to continue her acting career. 

Symoné Spencer

Symoné Spencer (Roxy), a freshman Musical Theater student, is excited to debut in the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s production of Roe as Roxy. Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, Symoné spent her formative years matriculating through the Wake County Public School System and graduated from William G. Enloe High School. Although singing was something that came naturally to her, her true dream of stage and song came to fruition in January 2015. Landing the role of Annie in her elementary school’s winter production propelled Symoné into the world of musical theater and ignited her passion for the stage. Symoné is excited to showcase her passion for the stage through this role.


Seania Burnett

Seania Burnett (Roxy) is a first year BFA Acting student. Some of her favorite productions she’s been a part of include (not limited to): Frankenstein as Doctor Frankenstein, Black Nativity as Mary; and Crowns the Musical as Yolanda. She is very excited about what the training she receives in the next 4 years will reveal to her about her craft. She thanks her family and the village here at Uncg for believing in her potential as an actor.
