Trevor Neal is so excited and honored to be a part of Hear Our Voices! He can’t wait for everyone to see all the great work the cast and crew have been putting into this production! He would like to thank everyone who helped make this process an amazing experience!

MILLIE STEVENS

Millie Stevens is so excited to be a part of Hear Our Voices and honored that she is able to be a part of sharing the work of the incredible composers that created these songs! She hopes everyone can find a way to be ‘happy today’ and everyday!

JACK MUZYCZKA

Jack Muzyczka is ecstatic to have had the opportunity to be a part of putting something so cool together. He wants to thank his family, the incredible UNCG faculty for making all of this possible, as well as Shane Dittmar, the incredible composer of his piece “Say Yes”. Jack would like to dedicate his performance to his younger brother Max, and can’t wait for everyone to come together, watch the livestream, and most importantly-hear our voices!

ANAIYA ADWATERS

Anaiya Adwaters is a Freshman from Asheville, North Carolina. Throughout her primary and secondary school years she has been involved in chorus, dance and theater. In fact, Anaiya has been singing and dancing competitively most of her life. She is a member of the National Thespian Society. Anaiya also has the honor and privilege of serving as the current Miss Asheville Outstanding Teen. Being Miss Asheville’s Outstanding Teen is not only a title, but it is a huge leadership role. Anaiya is following her dreams to become a professional performer by pursuing a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Musical Theater. Being involved in the performing arts has served as a positive outlet for Anaiya. Her desire is to help others benefit positively from the performing arts just as she has. It is an honor for her to be making her debut in the “Hear Our Voices” production at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

J. ANDREW SPEAS

J. Andrew Speas is a native of Winston-Salem, NC and a senior in the BFA Acting program and Minor in Musical. He studied at the UNCSA in the Dr. Marilyn Taylor voice studio. He is alumni of the NC Black Repertory Teen Theater Ensemble where he studied under Mabel Robinson. QUINN ROLLAR

Quinn Rollar is a sophomore BFA Musical theatre major at UNCG and he is so incredibly excited to finally be able to do theatre after his first show last year was cancelled. He is so incredibly honored to share the stories of marginalized individuals looking to tell their story to the world. He has loved doing theatre and creating characters even since he was a kid. He also loves to write music with his friends in his (very limited) free time. Special thanks to his mother and father for always pushing him even when he was sure he was giving up, thank you for pushing him further than he previously thought he could go. You are his inspiration every single day.

GRACE HOWELL

Grace Howell is a sophomore in the BFA Musical Theatre program and she is so honored to be a part of Hear Our Voices. She is so excited for everyone to see the hard work and dedication the actors, writers, designers, and production staff have all put into this incredible project. She would like to thank you for supporting theatre especially during these difficult times, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

MOLLY OLDHAM

Molly Oldham, a sophomore Musical Theater Major, is delighted to be a part of her first UNCG Mainstage Project, Hear Our Voices, after taking a semester off to Beat Brain Cancer! She was last seen on stage in Cleveland Musical Theatre’s production of “Into the Woods in Concert” at New York City Town Hall. Back at home in Akron, Ohio, Molly entertains children as island princess, Moana, and sings with the classic cover rock band MDU. She is also an avid advocate for Pediatric Cancer awareness and has dedicated her time and voice to help find a cure. She has had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at Hockey Fights Cancer Night for the Columbus Blue Jackets as well as cancer events across the country. She hopes to raise Funding through her new Foundation, TMI, The Molly Impact, which will serve 16-24 yo cancer patients. Most recently, Molly and her roommate Kaylee Vernon won the “Dancing for the Kids” benefiting Akron Children’s Hospital. Molly would like to thank Dom, Erin, April, her classmates, roommates, sisters and mom for believing in her. KEMARI BRYANT

Kemari Bryant is currently attending UNCG as a Junior in the BFA Acting program and has luckily been able to be a part of the growing Musical Theatre concentration. Past credits include Pippin (UNCG), Urinetown (UNCG), Man of La Mancha (Triad Stage), and A Christmas Carol (Triad Stage). He also has a passion for working behind the camera. His latest short film, "Libations", has recently been submitted to film festivals across the nation. His upcoming short film, “Mothman: An Anti-Hate Superhero Comedy” is currently in post-production. ERIN FARRELL SPEER: DIRECTOR

Erin Farrell Speer serves as an Asst. Professor of Musical Theatre at UNC Greensboro where she has been part of developing the new BFA Musical Theatre program. She has also taught in the musical theatre programs at Penn State and Florida Southern College.

Erin earned her MFA in Directing for the Musical Theatre from Penn State where she studied under the mentorship of veteran Broadway director, Susan H. Schulman. She is also a proud graduate of The University of Michigan, holding a BFA in Theatre (Acting).

Erin has worked on Broadway and regionally at Center Theatre Group/the Mark Taper Forum, Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, Sarasota Opera House, Heritage Repertory Theatre, Sierra Repertory Theatre and the North Carolina Theatre. As a performer, she has been seen performing in regional theatres, theme parks, independent films, and national commercials. At UNCG, Erin is in the early stages of commissioning three short film musicals, which will be filmed on campus during Spring of 2020.

Favorite Direction/Choreography credits include: Pippin, American Idiot, Sweet Charity, Hot n’ Cole, ‘SWonderful!, Dreamgirls, The Wild Party, Stones in his Pockets, Romeo and Juliet, All Shook Up, Seussical and many more.

DOMINICK AMENDUM: MUSIC DIRECTOR

Dominick Amendum served for nearly a decade as Associate Music Supervisor of the International Mega-Hit Musical Wicked, also having Conducted and Music Directed Wicked on Broadway, in Los Angeles, and in cities across the U.S. on the First National Tour. Additionally, Dominick was the Arranger and Music Supervisor for the Broadway musical First Date (starring Zachary Levi). Other credits include: Heathers (Off Broadway- New World Stages); Gigantic (Off Broadway- The Vineyard); The Blue Flower (Off Broadway- SecondStage); The Kid (Off Broadway- The New Group); The Romance of Magno Rubio (Off Broadway- DR2 Theatre); Cabaret (National Tour); Oliver! (National Tour); Moonshine (Dallas Theatre Center); LMNOP (Houston TUTS); Elf (Paper Mill Playhouse); Secondhand Lions (Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre).

As part of his continuing collaboration with Stephen Schwartz, Dominick is the Arranger and Music Supervisor of The Prince of Egypt, recently running at the Dominion Theatre in London’s West End. The Prince of Egypt was developed at Fredericia Teater in Denmark and TheatreWorks in California.

Dominick produced The Prince of Egypt Original Cast Recording, as well as the First Date Cast Album and the Studio Cast Album of the world premiere musical Secondhand Lions. Additional recordings as Producer include Stephanie J. Block (“This Place I Know”); Carrie Manolakos (“Echo”), Will Van Dyke (“Chasing The Day”) and Paul Loesel and Scott Burkell (“Sorta Love Songs”). In the studio, Dominick has collaborated with the likes of Rupert Holmes, Dolly Parton, Andrew Lippa, Stephen Schwartz, and Marvin Hamlisch.

Dominick is the Smart-Tillman Artist in Residence in Musical Theatre at his alma-mater, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. At UNCG, he serves as Coordinator of the Musical Theatre Program, Professor of Musical Theatre Performance, and resident Music Director. He also continues to work professionally around the globe developing new musicals.

ALLISON MCCARTHY: CHOREOGRAPHER AND ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Allison McCarthy is a current MFA choreography student and Graduate Teaching Associate in the School of Dance at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She holds her BFA in acting with a dance minor from SUNY Fredonia. Allison has recently performed nationally with The National Theatre for Children, and internationally with Missoula Children’s Theatre. In North Carolina she was a dancer and dance captain at Tweetsie Railroad in Boone for two seasons, and she has also performed in regional theaters across the country. Her choreography has been featured on concert dance stages and in musical theatre productions up and down the East coast. She is a dance educator, 200-hour YA yoga teacher, and a certified actor-combatant with the SAFD. Her research interests include violence in motion; she is currently exploring the topic of mass incarceration in the United States and how we as artists might be catalysts for change and social justice.

HAYLEE GRISSETT: LIGHTING DESIGNER

HAYLEE GRISSETT Lighting Designer, is currently a Senior Design/Tech BFA and Women Genders and Sexuality Studies minor, with an anticipated graduation of May 2021. Haylee has worked professionally at the American Dance Festival (2019), and has worked for the UNCG theatre department as an Undergraduate Assistant for 3 years. Other shows Haylee has been part of in their time are Tales of Arabian Nights, Lighting Designer, Pippin, Master Electrician, and many more. Haylee has enjoyed their time at UNCG and is honored to bring new musical theatre into the world and to highlight marginalized voices that have often been silenced in American Theatre.

IZZY KITCH: COSTUME DESIGNER

Izzy Kitch is a soon to be December graduate of UNCG’s Design and Technology program with a concentration in Costume Design. They are very proud of the productions they have had the opportunity to design during their time here at UNCG, including: The Witches (Fall 2019) and Flyin’ West (Spring 2020) and are so excited and proud to share their final design opportunity at UNCG with everyone through this amazing project and end their time here with a bang. Izzy would like to thank the entire cast and crew for all of the hard work everyone put in to create this amazing project. They would also like to thank their assistant Faith Custar for all of the support and help she gave during this process and a big thanks to their partner Syd and their beautiful fur babies, Mouse, Toast, and Ash for keeping them sane throughout the process!

FAITH CUSTAR: ASSISTANT COSTUME DESIGNER

Faith Custar is currently finishing up her second year at UNCG, where she’s working towards her BFA in Drama: Design and Technical production with a concentration in costuming! Hear Our Voices has been one of her favorite projects that she’s been a part of. She has loved having the opportunity to collaborate so closely with the costume designer throughout the entire process. This project was special for so many because of what it represents and the fact that so many like minded creators had the chance to move forward and create together during the pandemic - She wants to give special thank you to the cast, crew, and creative team for HOV; it’s been a dream!

BRANDON JARMASEK: SCENIC DESIGNER

Brandon Jarmasek is currently a senior Design/Tech BFA expecting to graduate in May 2021. Brandon is a member of IATSE local 322 who has worked on several productions at UNCG including Tales of the Arabian Nights (Scenic Designer), The Witches (Props Director), Flyin’ West (Props Director), and more. Brandon is grateful for the opportunity to help bring this new musical theatre project to life, and to frame the voices of the unheard.

BRITTANY CARTER: STAGE MANAGER

Brittany Carter is graduating in December 2020 with a BFA Drama: Design and Technical Production with a concentration in Stage Management. During her time at UNCG she has had the privilege of working on Urinetown (SM), Shakespeare In Love (ASM), Pippin (Wardrobe Supervisor), and the MFA One Act Project including Here We Go, Incognito, The Arkansaw Bear, and Feeding the Moonfish (PSM), as well as other shows in various capacities. Her other credits include It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, A Christmas Carol (ASM - Triad Stage), You Can't Take It With You, A Midsummer's Night's Dream, A Christmas Carol, When We Are Married (SM - Theatre Statesville). She is thrilled to have had the opportunity to make Musical Theatre happen during this difficult time and is delighted that this project has intentionally given a voice to formerly marginalized voices in the theater world. She hopes that everyone who has touched this project continues to step forward into the world sharing their art knowing that their voice deserves to be heard.

EMMA CARR: ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER

Emma Carr is a junior in the BFA Design and Technology program with a concentration in Stage Management and a minor in Dance. She is expected to graduate in May of 2022. While at UNCG, Emma has worked on The Witches (ASM), Gianni Schicchi & Suor Angelica (ASM), and Outside (ASM). She is honored to be a part of this production that has uplifted marginalized voices in the theatre community and is proud to have had the opportunity to work on this project during this time.

J. QUINTON JOHNSON

J. Quinton Johnson was last seen on stage in the Broadway production of Choir Boy from writer Tarell Alvin McCraney originating the role of “Bobby.” Johnson made his Broadway debut as HERCULES MULLIGAN/JAMES MADISON in Hamilton, completing 500 performances. He made his professional debut in Richard Linklater’s Annapurna/Paramount feature EVERYBODY WANTS SOME!! co-starring alongside Blake Jenner and Zoey Deutch. He then went on to star in ABC’s musical reboot of DIRTY DANCING as Sarah Hyland’s love interest “Marco,” and recurred in Pierce Brosnan’s AMC series THE SON as “Neptune.” Quinton was recently seen on the big screen in another Linklater feature, LAST FLAG FLYING for Amazon, opposite Bryan Cranston, Steve Carrell and Laurence Fishburne, which opened the 2017 New York Film Festival and on stage at the Kennedy Center’s staging of Lin Manuel Miranda’s IN THE HEIGHTS with Vanessa Hudgens and Anthony Ramos. In addition, Q is a composer, arranger, writer and director working on his own projects that span TV (Code Switch, Fresh Squad) Film (The Bear and the Bee) and Theatre (Headspace, The Amazing Adventures of Alex the Star Chaser, Hometown Hero)

VINCENT JAMAL HOOPER

Vincent Jamal Hooper is an actor, storyteller, and advocate for equity and social justice from Austin, TX. He honed his craft as a performer in various regional productions like Hairspray (Seaweed), Passing Strange (Youth), and In The Heights (Benny). Most recently, he was seen onstage in the hit musical sensation, HAMILTON where he stepped into the boots of Aaron Burr, Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, and Marquis de Lafayetter/Thomas Jefferson. Endlessly curious, Vincent has expanded his creativity into work as a screenwriter, graphic artist, director, choreographer, and lyricist.

ELI COHEN

Eli Cohen is a recent graduate of Northwestern University’s theatre program, where he concentrated in writing and musical theatre. Much of his work focused on both writing and directing, including his contributions to the Waa-Mu Show, Northwestern’s student written musical, for which he served as a writer, lyricist, and composer for three years, and as assistant director and dramaturg for one each. Original works include Reaching the End, Far From Christopher Street, and Degenerate. Eli has also worked on several workshop readings of new musicals with the American Music Theatre Project, including as assistant director on Something in the Game, Legacy: A Book of Names, which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and as writer’s assistant on Marie in Tomorrowland. Eli also studied computer science, and wrote an undergraduate thesis on “Queer Representation in Contemporary Musical Theatre”, which started his work on Reaching the End. Originally from Chicago, Eli is now residing in New York and hopes to adopt a dog soon.

RORI NOGEE

Rori Nogee is a NYC based performer, singer/songwriter and playwright. As an actress she has appeared on and off-Broadway, (most notably in Showgirls, the Musical! as Cristal Connors), at Carnegie Hall (“Journey to America”) and in regional theaters across the country. She is the creator of Siren's Den: A Rock Musical which appeared in the West Village Musical Theater festival, NYNW Theatre Festival (semi-finalist for best new work), at Under St. Mark's as a staged reading, and as a full Equity showcase run at the Gene Frankel Theater. Her other works include Aftershocks, a full length play presented at the NY Winterfest (best play nomination), and Down this Road which received staged readings with Chelsea Rep Lab, Sink or Swim Rep, and Identity Theatre Company. JACOB FJELDHEIM

Jacob Fjeldheimis a songwriter and arranger based in Brooklyn. KEURIM HUR

Keurim Hur is a writer of stories, scripts, and songs. She holds a BA in Film, Television, and Theatre from the University of Notre Dame, an MFA in Writing from the California Institute of the Arts, and an MFA from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at New York University. Stage works include Big Deal (Musical Theatre Factory's 4x15), Unshelved (Shanghai Conservatory of Music), Rapunzel (National Asian Artists Project), and Panache (Barn Arts Collective's Hamilton Project). Her songs have been performed at Feinstein's/54 Below, Joe's Pub, the PIT Loft, and university showcases all over the country. She produces cabarets that highlight the talents of international artists and songs for women performers that aren't about men.

SHANE W. DITTMAR

Shane W. Dittmar is a musician; educator; and composer of popular, theatrical, and concert music. A native of Raleigh, NC, he studied Music Education at UNC-Greensboro and now serves as the music teacher at the Washington State School for the Blind in Vancouver, WA. His music is shaped by his unique view of the world: Shane is legally blind, and he strives to use his music to tell stories and express emotions that help everyone see the world a little more clearly.

LINDSEY ATKINS

Lindsey Atkins is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. Growing up, she enjoyed performing in many productions at local theatres. She graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Theatre Arts Education. She currently lives in Raleigh and works as an educator in Wake County. Lindsey also teaches online classes in ESL and ukulele. She enjoys playing music, singing, and spending time with her family.

ANDREW MONTGOMERY COLEMAN

Andrew Montgomery Coleman is an actor and singer hailing from Raleigh, NC. He attended The North Carolina Governor’s School in 2011 studying Drama. He received his BFA in Professional Theatre with a concentration in Acting from North Carolina A&T State University. An alum of the British American Drama Academy’s Midsummer in Oxford Program, Andrew has worked as a professional actor for the past 7 years. Some of his most notable credits include Pipeline (OMARI), Sister Act (Eddie), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (MITCH MAHONEY), Shrek (DONKEY), and In The Heights (BENNY). Andrew plans on continuing a career in Theatre while pursuing TV/Film, Music, and stand up comedy.

JULIA RIEW

Julia Riew is a Korean-American book writer, composer, and lyricist. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and was trained in classical violin for 14 years before attending Harvard University as a Theater and Music concentrator. Julia has written four musicals, including two commissions for the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.)’s Family Holiday programming. Her musical The East Side was a semi-finalist in the 2020 Eugene O’Neill National Musical Theater Conference. A proponent of diverse representation in theater, Julia was the founder and co-president of the Harvard College Asian Student Arts Project (ASAP), an organization created to provide the resources, community, and encouragement for Asian students in performing and visual arts. She is currently working on a new musical called In the Beginning, a combination and retelling of the stories of Eve and Pandora.

KENNETH HELMAN

Kenneth Helman received his BM Piano Performance, Peabody Conservatory. Post grad fellowship, Manhattan School of Music, accompanying program. The Juilliard School, post grad fellowship, American Opera Center. Westminster Choir College, Advanced Voice Pedagogy. Tanglewood Festival Vocal Fellowship. Has maintained teaching studios for 35 years, and been on the voice faculty of The Jazz Conservatory, Berkeley, Ca. As a performer, Ken has appeared as singer/pianist in numerous venues, including Carnegie Hall, Maximes, The Town Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, The Lensic Theater, Count Basie Theater, The Rainbow Room, The Algonquin Hotel, et al. Has worked extensively with Sting in numerous projects, including stage and recording. As a songwriter, Ken produced an album of songs in 2009 entitled "Emerging", of which SFcritic.com said, “The uniqueness of his voice, clearly controlled but vaguely unsettled, seems to frame the stories that his lyrics weave…" kenhelmanmusic.com

LUNA ABREU-SANTANA

Luna Abreu-Santana is a singer/songwriter from Providence who uses storytelling as a way to promote messages of self-reflection, acceptance, and liberation to her audience. With a background in musical theater, the Dominican-American musician strives to create new and exciting projects that are accessible to actors of all racial, cultural, and gender identities. Luna's most recent original project is her visual and debut album, Beauty Queen, which explores themes of self-love, spirituality, and cultural identity. A recent graduate from Berklee College of Music, Luna specializes in voice lesson instruction, leading vocal workshops, and writing for up-and-coming musical productions.

UTSAV BHARGAVA

Utsav Bhargava is a composer/lyricist, orchestrator, and pianist. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, where he studied Film Scoring, Contemporary Writing & Production, and Musical Theatre Conducting, he is now attending the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU Tisch. His work has been produced at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, and at Curtain Up, Berklee’s annual showcase of original musical theater. He has music directed productions at various venues around Boston, including Heathers with the Berklee Musical Theater Club and Sister Act at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School, and associate music directed Shrek at Boston Conservatory under Eric Stern. As an Indian-American artist, Utsav is passionate about using his privilege to bring representation of marginalized groups to the theatre industry – both on stage and off.

GABY MANK

Gaby Mank is a Manhattan-based performer, singer-songwriter, music assistant, and musical director. Raised on Long Island, she was able to cultivate her love for the musical theatre by seeing shows in the city and performing across the island. She moved to New York City to study Musical Theatre at Marymount Manhattan College where she graduated from this past Spring (formal ceremony pending because of COVID-19). Through her music minor, she was able to deepen her music education by taking music theory classes at Hunter College and piano lessons at the New York Conservatory of Music. As part of the conservatory program, she has performed in student recitals at Steinway Hall. Along with studying musical theatre, she has been an assistant musical director for Marymount Manhattan College's productions of Good News, Parade, and Starlight Express. She also is a founder, musical director, and arranger for "On A Side Note," Marymount's only on-campus a cappella group. She Music Directed American Idiot as part of the Musical Theatre Association's Fall show (2019) featuring a full band of student-musicians and some incredibly talented actor-musicians. She has served as a Music Assistant/Copyist on shows and readings such as The Giant Hoax (Theatre Row), It's Kind of A Funny Story, the Broadway-bound new musical The Karate Kid, and Akira & the Merpeople. Her own concert of songs "Still Putting it Together" is soon-to-be performed and streamed virtually in August, and she is continuing to write for two upcoming musical projects (to be more formally announced shortly).

She is incredibly passionate about the accessibility of music education and recently created her own business "Mank Music Services." MMS is inclusive of her music assistant and copyist services but also incorporates educational opportunities from private music theory lessons to group classes (with scholarships available). She believes in empowering performers to become the best musicians they can be so that when faced with musical challenges they have the tools to say "I can!" rather than "I can't."
