It maintains a ratio of 1 librarian for every 500 students, with an additional librarian for every 1,000 students beyond that, ensuring adequate support for the college/university’s academic needs.

The ratio of librarians to clerical and other staff meets the needs of the various services provided by the library and the total workload requirements; i.e., 1:2 or one full-time librarian to two full-time support staff.
