Juan Guzman

Hello! I am a mathematician from Argentina.

I am currently a postdoc at IMPA (Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). My advisor is Jethro van Ekeren. 

I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from UNC (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina) in December 2022, with a CONICET grant, under the supervision of Carina Boyallian. Here is my Ph.D. Thesis: english, spanish, slides.

I am also interested in Math Education: I obtained the equivalent of a B. Ed. in Mathematics as well as the equivalent of a M. Sc. in Mathematics, both from UNC in 2016, and I have taught at high school and university levels.

My research interests are representation theory, quantum algebra and mathematical physics, with special focus in vertex operator algebras and their chiral homology over algebraic curves. I have also previously worked with Lie conformal algebras and factorization algebras/monoids.
