The ARYSO collaboration

ARYSO (Activity and Rotation of Young Stellar Objects) is a collaborative working group between latin-american researchers and students, aimed at advancing the understanding of magnetic activity in young stellar objects (YSOs) and its potential impact on planet formation and evolution in the environment of these objects.

The ARYSO group originated from weekly meetings established to follow two doctoral thesis projects related to studies of magnetic activity and rotation in young stars. Due to the importance of the topic, researchers with similar scientific interests have joined the meetings, expanding the group's scope to include topics such as stellar multiplicity, stellar spots, and photometric, spectroscopic, and kinematic characterization of stars in star-forming regions.

In addition to strengthening our scientific perspectives within a collaborative environment, ARYSO serves as an astronomical incubator that promotes academic and scientific activities and provides opportunities for students and young astronomers. Our meetings are held weekly, typically alternating between sessions to present project progress and results, and sessions dedicated to discussing and providing guidance on the tools, methodologies, and data used in the projects.
