The conference serves as a strategic platform for professionals, researchers, academics, and industry leaders to exchange ideas and showcase technological advancements in the energy sector. With the theme “Innovating Energy Systems for a Sustainable and Intelligent Future,” ICOG-ITA 2026 focuses on breakthroughs in advanced materials, energy transitions, advanced process systems, digitalization, artificial intelligence, automation, safety management, and smart upstream and downstream solutions. The conference aims to strengthen global collaboration, inspire technological innovation, and promote resilient, low-carbon practices within the oil and gas value chain. By bridging academia, industry, and policymakers, ICOG-ITA 2026 aspires to accelerate the transformation towards a sustainable, data-driven, and intelligent energy ecosystem.
Energy:
(Oil and Gas / Renewable Energy / Bioenergy)
Focusing on advancing sustainable energy systems across oil and gas, renewable energy, and bioenergy domains. It encompasses innovations in exploration and production technologies, smart field operations, and digital optimisation to enhance efficiency and environmental performance in the oil and gas sector. It also highlights renewable and bioenergy developments such as biofuel production, waste-to-energy conversion, hydrogen technologies, and hybrid power systems that support the global shift toward low-carbon solutions. Research integrating carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS), lifecycle emission reduction, and circular energy processes is also encouraged to foster a balanced and resilient energy ecosystem that bridges traditional practices with emerging sustainable innovations.
General Engineering:
(Material Science and Engineering / Micro and Nanotechnology / Advanced and Smart Materials / Environment and Fluid Flow)
Exploring the intersection of materials innovation, advanced manufacturing, and engineering sciences to support sustainable technological development. It covers research in material science and engineering, focusing on the design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced and smart materials for improved functionality, durability, and energy efficiency. Emphasis is placed on micro- and nanotechnology applications that enhance material performance at the atomic and molecular scales, including coatings, membranes, and sensing materials. The track also welcomes studies related to environmental systems and fluid flow, highlighting computational modelling, transport phenomena, and process optimisation for cleaner and more efficient industrial operations.
Process Engineering:
(Petrochemical / Process Control and Instrumentation / Modelling and Simulation)
Focusing on the development and optimisation of industrial and petrochemical processes through advanced engineering principles and digital integration. It encompasses innovations in process design, reaction engineering, and separation technologies aimed at improving efficiency, safety, and environmental performance. Emphasis is placed on process control and instrumentation, including automation, sensor integration, and data-driven control strategies that enhance real-time monitoring and system reliability. The track also highlights modelling and simulation approaches for process analysis, optimisation, and predictive maintenance, enabling more resilient, cost-effective, and sustainable process operations across the petrochemical and manufacturing industries.
All accepted papers will be considered for publication in a Scopus-indexed proceeding. This ensures broad academic visibility, rigorous peer recognition, and global dissemination of the authors’ contributions.
