ACLS/BLS Certification Requirements

Upon entering the General Surgery Residency training program, all trainees must be certified in BLS and ACLS. Proof of certification is required before starting the Program and must be provided to the General Surgery Residency Program, electronic submission is okay. Certification is typically valid for two years.

Once the initial certification expires, trainees are required to renew only their BLS certification and will be re-certified at the teaching hospitals expense.
