What?

A small, replaceable patch that goes over needle insertion sites during hemodialysis to detect blood leaks and stop dialysis before major blood loss occurs

Why?

Though the risk is small, the results of venous needle dislodgement can be severe or even deadly to patients.

How?

Using a switch-like moisture sensor, an average sized gauze pad, an Arduino, a servo motor, and a little bit of engineering.
