About the Department of Urology
The University of Minnesota Department of Urology has been at the forefront of urologic patient care, research, and education for more than ninety years. Building on our past, we continue to lead innovative efforts in several areas of urology, including cancer, stones, infertility, and pediatric care. Our educational and training programs produce tomorrow’s best urologists, preparing them to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care. We have several strong and well-funded research programs in various areas of urology, including simulation, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, medical devices, and incontinence. Additionally, because we’re a part of the University of Minnesota Medical School, our physicians regularly collaborate with colleagues in areas like pediatrics and oncology to provide the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options.
