Pamela De la Fuente is a bachelor’s degree candidate in Chemistry in the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana (UAM) in Mexico City. She is graduating in December 2025 and has a special interest in Theoretical Physical Chemistry. Pamela was born in Mexico City but moved at an early age to Campeche, Mexico, where she spent most of her childhood and youth. At UAM, she is conducting undergraduate research centered on investigating non-covalent interactions in protein–drug complexes using Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Molecular Dynamics simulations. Also, she is part of the Ramirez group in UMN where she is applying DFT to investigate the mechanism of organic and organometallic reactions. When she is not conducting research or on campus, she works as an English teacher and a tutor for high school and middle school students on science courses. Her dream is to become a primary research investigator and educator.
