The requirements for fellows include:
Resident of LMIC
Completion of general surgery or obstetrics/gynecology residency in their home country
Prior to the program start date, applicants must provide the program with documentation of the following qualifications to be eligible for appointment:
Passing scores on steps 1 and 2 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or an equivalent examination that qualifies for medical licensure. Step 3 is not required.
Graduation from a medical school that holds a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
A written or electronic verification of previous educational experiences and a summative competency-based performance evaluation of the trainee.
Ability to obtain a J-1 visa
English proficiency
The training committee will review applications and interview candidates. The training committee will include the Program Director and representatives from medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast radiology, surgical oncology, breast pathology, and plastic surgery.
