About Us
MISSION STATEMENT | The University of Minnesota’s Pre-Pharmacy Club is an educational and community based program that explores the field of Pharmacy, informs students applying to Pharmacy programs, and provides social and volunteer events for members.
VISION STATEMENT | The Pre-Pharmacy Club strives to allow students interested in pharmacy to determine if this field is right for them and become well-educated in the field of pharmacy.
The Pre-Pharmacy Club is open to all, but primarily students, faculty, and staff at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and aims to educate those with interests in the profession and practice of pharmacy. Members are introduced to various opportunities within the field of pharmacy and meet other students sharing these interests.
The Pre-Pharmacy Club acts as the ultimate pharmacy resource for students. Here's some of what we do:
Have pharmacist guest speakers give insight on their careers (some areas include retail, OR, psychiatric, research and development, veterinary, industry/law, toxicology, neonatal)
Talk with current pharmacy students about student life
Pre-to-D Mentorships (Pair with a current pharmacy student at UMN's College of Pharmacy)
Coordinate/provide volunteer opportunities
Share job opportunities
Host social events
