Hello! I am Praveen Kumar. I am currently a Research Associate in the research group of Prof. Krishnan Mahesh in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics, University of Minnesota, USA. Previously, I worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in the same group after my Ph.D.
I use high-fidelity simulation techniques such as Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) and Large-eddy Simulations (LES) to study fluid problems of engineering and fundamental interests. My research interests include:
- Propeller flows
- Turbulent Boundary layers
- Wall modelling and sub-grid modelling
