Dr. MacDonald is an Assistant Professor who recently joined the Minneapolis VA Pulmonary Section and is on the research career development track. He completed fellowship at the University of Minnesota in 2021, during which he completed a Master of Science in Clinical research while on the Lung Science T32 training grant. His research interests include autonomic dysfunction as a risk factor for acute exacerbations of COPD, outpatient monitoring of COPD patients, and HIV-associated lung disease. He is currently preparing to apply for a career development award.
