This assignment for a cross-listed Algebra and Physics course at Wabash College asks student to create new medically relevant physics problems to replace previous physics problems.
by Nathan Tompkins (Wabash College)
Current homework assignment problems are often straight from the textbook or modified slightly by the instructor, rarely medically relevant, and often very uninteresting to a pre-medical student. For this assignment, students will create new medically relevant physics problems to replace previous physics problems. Students will be tasked with writing a new homework problem, providing a solution for the problem, and providing a brief written explanation of the medical relevance of the problem.
