For the third year in a row, MCEE student programs were offered virtually to ensure that all students would have safe and comfortable access to the activities. As schools begin to return to more in-person instruction, though, some teams met on-site at their schools to participate in the student competitions. Even with virtual programming, students were still able to make meaningful connections with their peers and engage with concepts in economics and personal finance.
"I personally really enjoyed participating in the Global Food Challenge. The value of this program has allowed me to expand my economics and finance skills, something I wouldn't be able to do in a traditional high school class setting. I hope that this competition continues in the near future as I had a lot of fun competing!" - Jimmy V., Grade 10
"I came into this program having a thirst for knowledge that I know I would need to have in the near future and I came out knowing much more than I had expected and I am grateful for the adults time and effort in teaching me and my fellow classmates." - Angel R., Grade 11
