Biography

Originally from Concord, MA, Allison graduated from Williams College in 2018 with a B.A. in Chemistry and conducted honors thesis research with Prof. Anthony Carrasquillo in atmospheric chemistry. She also conducted summer research through REU programs with Dr. Cynthia Gilmour in environmental chemistry (Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, 2016) and Prof. Brett Fors in polymer chemistry (Cornell University, NSF Center for Sustainable Polymers, 2017). After graduating from Williams, she worked for two years at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the nuclear magnetic resonance user facility before joining the Lamb group in the Fall of 2020. Her graduate research focuses on characterizing structure-property relationships of non-isocyanate polyoxazolidinones and developing new synthetic strategies to facilitate these studies. Allison has also been involved in Queer Science (a STEM outreach group serving local LGBTQIA+ high school students) as president and treasurer and is a member of the Analysis and Compliance Committee of the Joint Safety Team. Outside of science, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, crocheting, and playing with her cat.
