University of Minnesota
I am Associate Professor at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. I received my PhD in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Prior to starting at the Humphrey School, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago.
I am an economic demographer with a primary research focus on internal migration within the United States. My work looks at the causes and consequences of internal migration, both historic and current. I also have interests in data quality, particularly U.S. Census undercount, occupational licensing, and applied econometrics.
I teach econometric methods and economic demography at both the Masters and PhD level.
