Hi! Welcome to room 108. My name is Lia Gambucci. You can call me Mrs. Lia and I am excited to meet you! First grade is a special year filled with new learning, new friendships and individual growth! 

I earned my Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota. This is my sixth year teaching in MPS. Previously, I taught math intervention, kindergarten and first grade at Marcy Arts Magnet School. I have also taught preschool.

I attended the Minneapolis Public Schools K-12, so teaching in this district is something about which I am very passionate. In fact, I attended Hale as a student and am thrilled to be back! I am grateful to be part of such a supportive and inclusive school community. I live in the neighborhood with my husband and son. 

I look forward to creating wonderful memories with you on our first grade journey!
