Awards Committee

The awards committee is appointed by the Department Head and charged with assisting faculty with award nominations and applications. The committee is also responsible for internal selections occurring at the Department level for awards with limited nominations.

Process

If you are interested in applying for an award, please contact the awards committee. The awards committee will help coordinate letter requests and internal competitions, as needed. Even if the award will not be submitted through the committee, it’s helpful to alert the committee so we can share the award opportunity with others and in the future. The candidate is responsible for compiling names and contact information for suggested letter writers and providing drafts of nomination letters for the Department Head. Please be aware that some awards will have an internal competition deadline that is earlier than the agency deadline.
