2014 B.S. in Animal Science, 2019 M.S. in Agricultural Education
Hometown: Vista, California
I was born and raised in California and had no background in agriculture, except for a passion to learn more about it. I graduated high school in 2011 and decided to take the leap and move to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. While on campus I worked at the Beef Research Facility in Rosemount and the Meat Lab on the St. Paul Campus. Due to high school college classes, I was able to graduate in 2014 with my Bachelor's in Animal Science, with a Beef Production emphasis. I worked in the industry for about 3 years in various jobs such as sales and veterinary clinics, but there was a calling to do more. So I made the leap to go back to school to pursue education in hopes to become an Agriculture Teacher. Although I was living in St. Cloud at the time, planning a wedding, working a full-time job, and maintaining a house, the UMN worked with my schedule and I was able to complete my Master's in Agricultural Education in 2019. I was then hired at ROCORI Schools in Cold Spring to start their Agriculture Program again. I live with my husband, daughter (with another one on the way), 3 dogs, and multiple chickens in Saint Augusta.
