Patrice is a Program Director with 3+ years of education experience with Spark-Y: Youth Action Labs. Prior to her current role, she served as a full-time Animal Health Supervisor at the University of Minnesota managing departmental personnel, animal care facility operations, and coordinating the needs of researchers. She is a two-time alum of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a Master’s degree in Scientific and Technical Communication. Patrice has knowledge in science, sustainable systems, and emerging technologies across cultures, which helps her in her day-to-day work in helping Spark-Y connect its mission with its partners and youth. She uses her background to help drive the force of an education revolution and spread knowledge to underprivileged youth and underrepresented communities. As a Program Director, she assists in the management of school collaboration, so it is important for her to build relationships within our educational programs and in the surrounding community.
