2013, B.S. 2015, M.S. Animal Science
Issac is currently a professor in the Animal Science Department at the U of MN where he teaches and does research in the area of dairy cow nutrition and metabolism. He grew up in central Minnesota (the town of Dassel) where he owned my own small herd of registered Brown Swiss cattle and worked on neighboring dairy farms. This passion for the dairy industry led him to get bachelor's and master's degrees in animal science from the University of Minnesota before completing a Ph.D. in dairy nutrition at Penn State University. He is excited to be back at the U of MN where he hopes to help educate future dairy enthusiasts and help conduct research to improve the productivity, sustainability, and profitability of dairy operations.
