Career Courses

BA 2021: Career Skills (formerly BA 3000)

1 credit. S/N. Required for all Carlson undergraduate students. Offered Fall, Spring & Summer.

The focus of this course is to increase your awareness, knowledge and skills associated with the career and job search process. The course includes career exploration and discovery, as well as the tactical pieces of a job search. You will be exposed to a variety of individuals who will give you different perspectives on the process, such as recruiters from local organizations and students who have completed an internship. You will also learn about UBCC resources and Handshake.

BA 3996: Internship Seminar

1 credit. S/N. Offered Fall, Spring & Summer. Required for all Carlson International students engaging in an internship experience. Optional for domestic Carlson students engaging in an internship experience.

This course will engage you in meaningful reflection and earn credit for your internship experience through a variety of assignments. If you are an international student engaging in an internship, you are required to enroll in this course as part of the CPT process, and are required to take this course each time that you engage in an internship experience during your undergraduate career. If you are a domestic student looking to earn academic credit for your internship or are required by your internship site to receive academic credit for your internship experience, you may also enroll in this course.
