Annual volunteer training
2018-2019: 4-H Grows Relationships
Our 4-H’ers may know each other, but are they really connected? Powerful things happen for youth when they’re in a positive relationship with caring adults. Those relationships lead to a greater sense of confidence, competence, character and caring for young people.
The 2018-2019 annual volunteer training will ready youth and adult volunteers to connect to young people in meaningful ways.
This training is for all 4-H youth and adult volunteers in clubs and county-wide groups and programs, including committees, federations, leader’s councils and others. Each group should bring a team of youth and adult volunteers to get the most out the content.
You will leave this training with
• Tools to build strong relationships with youth and adults.
• Ideas from other volunteers on what works for them.
• A plan to connect every young person in meaningful ways to other young people and adults.
This training will be offered throughout Minnesota. See a list of scheduled training dates. More information will be coming soon. If you don’t see a date for your county or tribal program, you’re welcome to register for a training outside of your county. Just call the contact person for that county or click on the county name to visit their website.
