Renew as a volunteer

Volunteers renew their commitment every three years

Each fall, staff will notify volunteers who are due to renew.

If you need to renew

  • You will receive an email or letter from Regional Support Staff this fall with instructions on how to renew. The renewal period will be Oct 1 - Nov 15, 2021.

  • Follow the detailed steps in this VOLUNTEER RENEWAL GUIDE.

  • RENEWAL INCLUDES TWO STEPS:

  • Once both steps are completed, your status in 4HOnline will be changed to Approved.

  • If you have a question about your status, you may contact your local office.

If you do NOT need to renew

  • You will receive an email/letter from Regional Support Staff in September to let you know you do not need to renew this year.

  • The new 4-H year starts October 1. Regional Support Staff will update your status to "Approved" in late September.

What if I haven't been screened yet?

New volunteers complete Safety of Minors training as part of the screening process. Apply now.
