Theory, Practice, and the Contemporary Experience of Gender (TPCEG) is a new interdisciplinary workshop at the University of Michigan. Organized by graduate students in the Department of Philosophy, TPCEG is dedicated to bringing together scholars from across disciplines and institutions whose interests converge on the study of gender and its broader implications for the relationships among theory, social practice, and lived experience.
In Winter 2017, TPCEG will organize a colloquium that will create opportunities for members of the University of Michigan community to converse with scholars from across the United States and beyond. In preparation for the colloquium, we will also host a reading group dedicated to discussing the work of our colloquium speakers.
TPCEG is sponsored by the Department of Philosophy, Rackham Graduate School, and the Institute for Research on Women and Gender.
