What is Storytelling for Social Change?
Storytelling for Social Change is a Ginsberg Center initiative that matches student teams with community organizations to capture and share stories that illustrate the heart of their work. The Ginsberg Center hires students from a wide range of disciplines to help support community organizations with deliverables ranging from short videos to graphic design materials to social media campaigns.
SFSC partnerships focus on supporting nonprofits, schools, and governmental organizations in sharing stories that capture their work while creating opportunities for students to build skills in storytelling and content creation.
For our partners, support with storytelling is a frequent priority - it helps with fundraising, grant applications, marketing, and communication materials such as websites, social media campaigns, and annual reports. For our students, opportunities to grow and apply skills in the local community where they live & learn are valuable chances to connect and learn.
At Ginsberg, our work is grounded in meaningful community-university partnerships that foster a culture of learning and improvement so that together we have the capability to build thriving, equitable, and just communities. Read more about Ginsberg's approach to community engagement here.
