At the heart of my academic journey lies a strong commitment to studying aspects of language relating to meaning and meaning formation.
We don't use language in a vacuum! Every judgment we make of the people we speak to and their utterances is driven by social, cultural, and linguistic factors.
This leads much of my work to fall within semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and their intersection, using experimental methodology to investigate the relationship between who we are, what we say, and how we say it.
