2021 SIAM Student Mini-Symposium in Applied Mathematics

The SIAM student chapter at the University of Michigan is hosting its 2nd student mini-symposium in applied mathematics on July 16, 2021. This event will allow students from different disciplines in the area to see what is being done in the field and promote interest in applied mathematics in general. This event is open to all graduate students in the University of Michigan.

Keynote speaker

We are excited to announce that the keynote speaker for the 2021 SIAM Student Mini-Symposium in Applied Mathematics at the University of Michigan will be Prof. Victoria Booth from the Department of Mathematics.

Call for presentations

All graduate students in the University of Michigan are invited to submit abstracts on any research topic related to applied mathematics.

Presentation format:
1. Flash talks: 5 minutes in length, or,
2. Research talks: 20 minutes in length, followed by 5 minutes for questions and set-up for the next speaker.

Submission deadline: June 16, 2021
