About Me

I'm a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Information, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, advised by Kentaro Toyama focusing on behavioral and experimental economics and ICTD (Information & Communication Technology for Development). Last year, I completed my Masters in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan. Before starting my Ph.D., I earned my Masters in Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan.

Before coming back to school, I had a long career in Information Technology, working in multiple capacities in the financial, government, and real estate sectors. Most recently, I oversaw a program to transform the services offered by the Ministry of Business and Trade, Qatar, to e-services. Before moving to Qatar, I was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, developing electronic trading platforms for Fixed Income Currencies and Commodities.

I have a Masters in Computer Science from Bradley University, IL, and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Khartoum, Sudan.
